Fellowship-trained advanced heart failure/transplant cardiologist to serve as LVAD and MCS Medical Director at AdventHealth Transplant Institute in Central Florida. The role leads and grows the LVAD and MCS programs with up to 500 hours of dedicated administrative time.
- Setting
- AdventHealth Transplant Institute with a 32-bed cardiothoracic transplant ICU and an integrated hospital-based OPO (OurLegacy). Team of currently 4 cardiac surgeons and 8 cardiologists.
- The work
- Lead and grow the LVAD and MCS programs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and drive clinical trials and myocardial recovery research. Up to 500 hours of dedicated administrative time.
- Patients
- Advanced heart failure and transplant patients: 45+ heart transplants, 40+ LVADs and 250+ temporary MCS devices annually.
- Requirements
- Fellowship-trained and board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, with 3+ years of post-fellowship experience and clinical research involvement.
