Full-time outpatient Pediatric Obesity Medicine Physician and Program Director with Pediatric Weight and Wellness at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida. The role combines clinical care with leading the growth of a multidisciplinary weight management program, including anti-obesity medication services.
- Setting
- Outpatient center near the AdventHealth for Children campus, a quaternary children's hospital with more than 250 pediatric specialists across more than 35 specialties.
- The work
- Evaluate and manage pediatric obesity, build treatment plans including GLP-1 therapy, lead the multidisciplinary team, expand medication services, partner with the bariatric surgery program and community referrers; research as available.
- Schedule
- Full-time outpatient, including two hours per week dedicated to program directorship.
- Patients
- Children and adolescents ages 18 months through 17 years with obesity and associated conditions, including patients before and after adolescent metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Requirements
- MD or DO; active Florida license or eligibility; ABOM board certification plus board certification in Pediatrics, Family Medicine or Med-Peds. Preferred: obesity medicine fellowship and five or more years of relevant experience.
