- Cardiac anesthesia for bypass cases (CABG, valve, VAD, transplant), thoracic, major vascular, TEVAR, EVAR, TAVR, structural heart procedures, and cardiac patients having non-cardiac surgery.
- Schedule
- 8 weeks of vacation and guaranteed post-call days.
- Call
- Approx. one 1st call every other week, one 2nd call every other week, and approx. one weekend call per month; no non-cardiac call or mandatory cross coverage of other sites.
- Patients
- Cardiac cases from simple to complex; 2,500+ bypass cases per year, including heart transplantation.
- What the pay includes
- Eligible for student loan forgiveness program and/or sign-on bonus; relocation assistance up to $12,000; dedicated CME time.
- Requirements
- Accredited anesthesiology residency; board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology; TEE training and certification required, TEE board certification preferred; cardiac fellowship preferred.
