- Academic tertiary care center, 885 beds, affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine, plus secondary sites. 5 cath labs at main campus, 3 at High Point and 1 at ASC in Greensboro; Epic, Dragon and DAX.
- The work
- Lead the section's clinical, academic and research programs, recruit and mentor faculty, perform procedures and see clinic; 10–13 inpatient weeks yearly overseeing APP-led, resident teaching and CVICU services.
- Schedule
- 1.0 FTE, 80% clinical / 20% administrative. Two to three days per week in the cath lab and one to two days per week in clinic; 10–13 weeks of inpatient service annually, including 8–10 weeks with weekend coverage.
- Call
- Weekday STEMI call on average one every two weeks and weekend STEMI call on average one weekend per month, with Mondays off after STEMI weekend call.
- Patients
- Full spectrum of interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures: TAVR, transcatheter mitral valve interventions, mechanical circulatory support including Impella, LAAO and Watchman.
- What the pay includes
- CME allowances and relocation assistance.
- Requirements
- BC in Interventional Cardiology, a record of clinical excellence, research experience and graduate medical education; leadership experience preferred.
