Setting
Academic: 885 bed tertiary care academic medical center affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine; ~30 non invasive cardiology providers; secondary hospital and outreach clinic sites. EMR is Epic, with Dragon and DAX.
The work
Reading cardiac CT and other imaging, outpatient clinic, admin time, multi-disciplinary heart team work presenting multi-modality imaging data, teaching fellows and clinical research.
Schedule
Average week: 3 half-day sessions CT, 2 half-day sessions other imaging, 4 half-day sessions clinic, 1 half-day session admin.
Call
Weekday and weekend call shared across NI faculty: on average one weekend per month (Friday night to Monday morning) and one weeknight every three weeks.
Patients
Complex cardiac and vascular patients, including pre- and peri-operative valvular heart disease patients.
What the pay includes
Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowances and relocation assistance.
Requirements
BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease, BE/BC Echo, BE/BC Cardiac CT (level III) and Cardiac MRI (level II or III), with an advanced imaging fellowship >= 1 year (ACGME or non-ACGME); experience in valvular heart disease care.
