- Same day emergency general surgery, inpatient rounds on the acute care service, new inpatient and urgent outpatient consults, urgent/emergent surgeries, and acute and follow-up clinic for your own patients.
- Schedule
- Part-time (.5): 6 24-hour shifts/month, consecutive or split. One weekend/month (Friday 7 a.m. to Monday 7 a.m.) and 1 holiday/year required. Onsite during the day.
- Call
- Evenings on shift you need not be onsite but must be within 60 minutes response time. Call on off days is covered by the existing group's surgeons.
- Patients
- Emergency general surgery and inpatient acute care surgery patients, plus urgent outpatient consults.
- What the pay includes
- Additional compensation for additional shifts worked; CME allowances and relocation assistance.
- Requirements
- Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program and skills in the full spectrum of general surgery.
