- Advocate Children's Hospital-Park Ridge, a 138-bed pediatric hospital with Level III NICU, PICU, pediatric med/surg unit and pediatric ED. Epic EMR with DAX Copilot; nearly 120 pediatric and surgical subspecialists.
- The work
- Outpatient clinics, procedures, inpatient service, and teaching residents. Weekly Friday GI meeting for case review and program and research development; RNs, MAs and surgery schedulers on the team.
- Schedule
- 29 patient-facing hours plus 3 hours of required GI meetings. Typical week: 3 full days of clinic, 1 procedure day and 1 administrative day.
- Call
- Inpatient service of approximately 4–5 weeks per year of 24/7 call, plus additional daytime-only call at an affiliated site. No scheduled clinic/procedure time while on 24/7 service.
- Patients
- Pediatric gastroenterology patients, inpatient and outpatient.
