Full-time advanced cardiac imaging cardiologist at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The role splits roughly one-third inpatient, one-third outpatient and one-third advanced imaging, with teaching of 8 cardiovascular disease fellows.
- Setting
- Advocate Christ Medical Center, a 788-bed teaching hospital, and Advocate South Suburban Hospital, a 244-bed community hospital and Level II Trauma Center. Epic EMR with DAX Copilot.
- The work
- About one-third inpatient, one-third outpatient clinic (mainly Oak Lawn) and one-third imaging: cardiac MRI, nuclear, cardiac CT and echo. No structural echo. Teach 8 cardiovascular disease fellows.
- Schedule
- 1.0 FTE.
- Call
- Weekend call averages 1:4 (Saturday & Sunday), covering inpatient services and echocardiography; about 2-3 weekday at-home call shifts per month.
- Patients
- Inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients plus imaging reads; equipment includes Siemens and GE 1.5T MRI, GE 256-slice CT, outpatient PET and SPECT/CT.
- What the pay includes
- CME allowances, relocation assistance and paid medical liability insurance.
- Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Imaging fellowship emphasizing cardiac MRI (Level III preferred) and CT (minimum Level II); BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease, Echo, Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, and Nuclear if applicable. Illinois license and DEA eligible.
