About this job
- Setting
- Community hospitals: Carmel has a Level III Maternity Center and Level III NICU, 8 L&D rooms and over 2,000 deliveries in 2025; Fishers has about 250-300 deliveries annually. In-house OB anesthesiology at Carmel and Fishers.
- The work
- Manage all triage arrivals and ER consults, perform emergency GYN surgery including ectopics and ovarian torsions, and work with nursing and four OB groups on delivery and triage. Floating between sites is appreciated.
- Schedule
- PRN; pick up 12 or 24-hour shifts on a cadence of your choosing, based on preference and operational needs.
- Patients
- High-volume, high-acuity obstetric and gynecologic patients, including high-risk maternal patients, triage arrivals, ER consults and emergency GYN cases.
- What the pay includes
- Malpractice coverage.
- Requirements
- BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology; MD or DO; Indiana medical license before hire; comfortable performing emergency GYN surgery independently. Advanced Life Support preferred.
