- Mercy Hospital, a 150-licensed-bed Level III Trauma Center in a nonprofit health system, with a 15-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit and 24/7 hospitalist, emergency and ICU services.
- The work
- Evaluate and treat inpatients with timely documentation that supports appeals for denied services, and serve as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician. Work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to quality initiatives.
- Schedule
- Full-time 7-on/7-off rotation, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Patients
- Adults in acute crisis, including suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis and substance withdrawal/detox. Average daily census of 9, typical length of stay 3 to 5 days, serving a population of 230,000.
- What the pay includes
- Salary plus value-based incentive, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance up to $10,000, CME allowance of $4,000, and malpractice coverage with tail.
- Requirements
- MD or DO, board certified or board eligible, eligible for a state medical license and DEA registration. Wisconsin or Minnesota medical board credentialing required before hire; Advanced Life Support preferred.
