About this job
- Setting
- Community hospitals. Carmel has a Level III Maternity Center, Level III NICU and 8 L&D rooms with over 2,000 deliveries in 2025. Fishers has about 250-300 deliveries annually. In-house OB anesthesiology at both.
- The work
- Manage all triage arrivals and ER consults, and perform emergency GYN surgery such as ectopics and ovarian torsions. Work with nursing and four OB groups. May float between Carmel, Fishers, Anderson and Kokomo.
- Schedule
- PRN, with shifts picked up on a cadence you choose. 12 and 24-hour shifts are available based on preference and operational needs.
- Patients
- High-volume, high-acuity obstetric and gynecologic patients, including high-risk maternal patients, ectopics and ovarian torsions.
- What the pay includes
- Malpractice coverage.
- Requirements
- Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with 3 years of experience. MD or DO with an Indiana medical license before hire. Must be comfortable doing emergency GYN surgery independently. Advanced Life Support preferred.
