Full-time employed outpatient pulmonologist role at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Lung Care in Evansville, Indiana, joining 3 physicians and 2 APPs. The posting highlights ION Robotic Bronchoscopy access and an optional partnership with Vituity for inpatient critical care.
- Setting
- Outpatient pulmonary clinic on the main hospital campus within a nonprofit health system; Athena EMR. Located in a Health Professional Shortage Area and/or Medically Underserved Area.
- The work
- Diagnose and treat complex respiratory conditions using diagnostic tools and robotic bronchoscopy; mentor medical residents and students; optional inpatient critical care work with Vituity.
- Schedule
- Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (36 patient contact hours per week).
- Call
- Split evenly between 3 physicians with minimal after-hours calls.
- Patients
- Outpatients with COPD, asthma and interstitial lung diseases; average daily volume of 20–25 patients.
- What the pay includes
- Year 1 guarantee, then wRVU-driven productivity incentives in year 2 and beyond; sign-on bonus; relocation assistance; $4,250 CME allowance + 5 dedicated CME days; malpractice covered with tail.
- Requirements
- MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology; fellowship training in Pulmonary Disease; eligible for state licensure and DEA registration. Advanced Life Support preferred; no work experience required.
