Medical Director role at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana, split 80% clinical pediatric intensivist work in the PICU and CVICU and 20% leadership. The program partners with Cincinnati Children's Hospital on quality and pediatric cardiac service line development.
- Setting
- Inpatient, 197-bed pediatric facility with a combined 22-bed PICU/CVICU (8-bed CVICU, 14-bed PICU), Level IV NICU and pediatric trauma services. Team of 6 physicians and 5 APPs; Athena/Sunrise EMR.
- The work
- 80% clinical critical care in the PICU and CVICU, coordinating with cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and case management; 20% leadership, mentoring, program development and quality improvement with Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
- Schedule
- Full-Time, 120 shifts/year.
- Call
- About 20-25 nights/year.
- Patients
- Pediatric critical care and cardiac critical care patients in an 8-bed CVICU and 14-bed PICU.
- What the pay includes
- Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and CME allowance with allotted CME time off.
- Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine; fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology or equivalent experience. MD/DO with Indiana license before hire and DEA registration; ALS preferred.
