Medical Director and pediatric intensivist role at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana, split 80% clinical in the PICU and CVICU and 20% leadership. The program partners with Cincinnati Children's Hospital on a pediatric cardiac service line.
- Setting
- Inpatient, 197-bed pediatric hospital with an 8-bed CVICU and 14-bed PICU, part of a nonprofit health system. Team of 6 physicians and 5 APPs; Athena/Sunrise EMR; 24/7 subspecialty support.
- The work
- 80% critical care in the PICU and CVICU, coordinating with cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and case management. 20% leadership: mentoring, program development and quality improvement with Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
- Schedule
- Full-time, 120 shifts/year.
- Call
- About 20-25 nights/year.
- Patients
- Critically ill pediatric patients, including cardiac patients, in the PICU and CVICU.
- What the pay includes
- Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and a CME allowance with allotted CME time off.
- Requirements
- MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Indiana license before hire and DEA registration. Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology, or equivalent experience required.
