General anesthesia position with CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic at CHRISTUS St. Michael's hospital in Texarkana, TX, supervising CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio. The posting emphasises a balanced call schedule and an income guarantee above the national median.
- Setting
- 311-bed acute care hospital with a Level III Emergency Department and 14 anesthetizing ORs; Epic EMR. Anesthesia technicians, hospitalists and intensivists provide support.
- The work
- General anesthesia and medical supervision of CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio in a collaborative care team model. A dedicated cardiac team handles cardiac and major thoracic cases; CRNAs provide epidurals 24/7.
- Schedule
- 8 to 10 ORs start at 7AM; approximately half close by 3:30.
- Call
- 1 weekday per week (not in-house); 1 weekend every six weeks; post call day off; only one in-house weekday call every 6 weeks.
- Patients
- Average 50 to 60 cases daily: ENT, General, GI, GYN, Neuro, Opth, Oral/Max, Ortho, Plastics, URO and Vascular. Pediatric cases limited (healthy child-age, no babies), mainly dental.

- Income guarantee above the national median, plus sign-on and relocation allowance and CME benefits.
- Requirements
- BC/BE, residency trained in anesthesia; unrestricted Texas license at start and Texas registered DEA. Upcoming graduating residents are encouraged to apply.
