About this job
Employed OB/GYN role with CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic and CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas, joining a one-physician practice. Three APCs handle much of the clinic volume, and pay is a first-year income guarantee with RVU-based compensation.
- Setting
- Outpatient clinic with 12 exam rooms, a colposcopy procedure room, lab and on-site ultrasound, on a campus with a 311-bed acute care hospital, Level III ED and Level III NICU. Epic EMR in clinic and hospital.
- The work
- Outpatient OB/GYN care, inpatient care, gynecologic surgery with dedicated block time, rotating OB call and shared M-F hospital rounds. Supported by two NPs and one CNM.
- Schedule
- Rounds currently 3 days/per week; with a new OBGYN, M-F rounds will be shared.
- Call
- Five 24-hour calls per month shared with 2 OB/GYNs from another group, for practice patients only; calls can be split. Laborists handle spontaneous night and weekend deliveries; nurse triage line assists.
- Patients
- About 60% obstetrics and 40% gynecology; 50 to 60 births per month, cesarean rate approximately 25%. Hysterectomies are the highest-volume procedure; advanced MFM cases are referred out.
- What the pay includes
- First-year income guarantee with RVU-based compensation, plus sign-on and relocation allowance.
- Requirements
- BC/BE residency-trained OB/GYN, unrestricted Texas license at start and Texas registered DEA. Upcoming graduating residents may apply.
