About this job
Full-time fellowship-trained MIGS surgeon joining a new MIGS division at Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. The division focuses on complex gynecologic surgery with an emphasis on chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis; no obstetric care is required.
- Setting
- New MIGS division at McKay-Dee Hospital, part of a 33-hospital system. Newly renovated office with in-office procedure space, OR block time, 24/7 physician anesthesia, Da Vinci robots on site, EPIC EHR.
- The work
- Complex benign gynecologic surgery and clinic, with an APP assisting in the OR. Multidisciplinary care with Urology and Colorectal surgery; active involvement in medical student, resident and fellow education.
- Schedule
- Typically 2 days in clinic and 2 days in the OR each week; 40 scheduled weekly hours.
- Call
- Personal practice coverage plus unassigned GYN call for Emergency Department patients; ED call shifts are compensated and limited.
- Patients
- Complex gynecologic surgery patients, with an emphasis on chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis. No obstetric care.
- What the pay includes
- Guaranteed annual base salary, $30,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation, up to $75,000 student loan assistance, $1,500 monthly stipend while in training, Continuous Improvement Incentives up to $20,000 annually.
- Requirements
- MD or DO; BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology; completed Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship; unrestricted Utah license or willingness to obtain; active DEA or ability to obtain.
