The work
Overnight admissions, cross-coverage, acute issues, codes and throughput; manage EMU patients and decide disposition; cover designated SNFs as applicable; hand off to the daytime Hospital Medicine team; practice independently overnight.
Schedule
Overnight (nocturnist) shifts.
Patients
Hospitalized adults, Extended Monitoring Unit patients and newly admitted patients from the Emergency Department; overnight coverage of designated skilled nursing facilities as applicable.
What the pay includes
Starting annual salary of $280,000; not based on individual services. CME reimbursement and 100% reimbursement for board certification costs.
Requirements
MD or DO; board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine; licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
