Setting: Two hospitals, Holy Cross and Suburban Hospital, for a physician group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Uses a comprehensive electronic health record.
The work: Non cardiac thoracic surgery across all aspects of general thoracic surgery except lung transplant, with special emphasis on minimally invasive surgery including VATS and robotics.
Patients: Kaiser Permanente patients needing general thoracic surgery, excluding lung transplant.
What the pay includes: Starting annual salary of $600,000. New hire incentive of a $100,000 forgivable loan OR $150,000 in student loan repayment. CME reimbursement and 100% reimbursement for board certification.
Requirements: MD or DO, board certified or eligible in Thoracic Surgery, licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and 2 years of experience required.
