- Setting
- Kaiser Permanente hospital with in-house anesthesia and a Level II NICU. EMR is Cerner, converting to EPIC in August 2026.
- The work
- Manage Labor & Delivery and OB triage, see Ob/Gyn consults from the hospital and ER, perform emergency Ob/Gyn surgeries, and manage antepartum and postpartum services. No clinic or in-basket duties.
- Schedule
- 24-hour shifts, minimum one per week and up to four per week. Temporary per diem for 6 months.
- Call
- The role is 24-hour in-hospital Ob/Gyn hospitalist call, with a private sleep room on the Labor & Delivery floor.
- Patients
- Obstetric and gynecologic patients on L&D, OB triage and consults; average ~120 births per month.
- What the pay includes
- Hourly pay. Hotel, travel and meals paid for the 6-month duration; malpractice insurance and tail coverage provided.
- Requirements
- Active California medical license, ABOG board certification or eligibility, and completed Ob/Gyn residency. Must pass background check and drug screen.
