- Community practice covering one hospital, Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge (150 beds), with 3 clinic locations. Uses Epic.
- The work
- Rotate among 3 clinic locations and provide weekly hospital coverage, including weekend rounding. On-site diagnostics include EKGs, Holter and event monitoring, nuclear stress testing, stress and dobutamine echo, and vascular ultrasound.
- Call
- Call every fifth day with interventional backup, rotating weekly hospital coverage including nighttime and weekend call. Call will become less frequent as the group grows.
- Patients
- Visiting physicians provide advanced heart failure, TAVR, vascular surgery and electrophysiology services. There is an arrhythmia/device clinic and cardiac rehab.
- What the pay includes
- $75,000 sign-on bonus, production-based compensation, relocation assistance and paid CME.
- Requirements
- Board-eligible or board-certified in cardiology. Open to J-1 visa applications.
