Pediatric Infectious Disease physician joining an expanding practice at Ochsner Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, providing inpatient and outpatient care. An interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship is desirable, and a new 5-story Children's Hospital is under construction, opening in late 2027/early 2028.
- Setting
- Children's hospital with a 67-bed Level IV NICU, 14-bed PICU, 12-bed CVICU, 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care Unit and dedicated Pediatric ED; 290+ subspecialists across 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi.
- The work
- Inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with suspected or proven infectious diseases. Teaching opportunities with pediatric residents and medical students from Tulane University and the University of Queensland.
- Patients
- Children with suspected or proven infectious diseases, in a hospital with programs in congenital heart surgery, cardiac, liver and bone marrow transplantation, and hematology-oncology.
- Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease. Interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship desirable.
