PRN nurse anesthetist role with Prisma Health Richland Anesthesiology, administering anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures under the medical direction of staff anesthesiologists. Includes emergent airway response and line placement.
- Setting
- Hospital anesthesiology practice at Prisma Health Richland.
- The work
- Formulates anesthetic plans with the anesthesiologist, administers anesthesia, places IV and arterial lines, performs blocks and airway management, documents anesthesia care, and performs point of care testing.
- Schedule
- PRN with a variable work shift.
- Call
- May be on-call, either in-house or from home, as required by the facility.
- Patients
- Patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases; age specific competence required.
- Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia (or CRNA graduated before December 31, 2003 from an accredited program), SC RN Advanced Practice license and CRNA certification. No previous experience required.
