- The work
- Hospital and ED consultations, rounding, urgent/emergent surgery and some minor outpatient surgery. Three 4-hour clinic sessions per week, mainly hospital follow-ups and urgent consults, with limited elective practice.
- Schedule
- 7–14-day blocks coordinated between two hospitalists and/or hospitalist and department physicians; three 4-hour clinic sessions per week.
- Call
- Provides 24/7 ENT call coverage during blocks, with timely OR access for urgent inpatient and ED cases.
- Patients
- Inpatient and ED consults; the physician independently manages pediatric consultations while the NP manages adult and adolescent inpatient consultations.
- What the pay includes
- CME allowance and relocation allowance.
