- Setting
- Community-based practice in a physician-led multispecialty group across two hospitals: a regional referral center with a 35-bed Level III NICU and a community hospital with a 6-bed Level II nursery. EPIC EMR.
- The work
- Neonatal inpatient care, high-risk delivery attendance, well-baby service, special care nursery management, neonatal transport and perinatal coordination, and collaboration with neonatologists, obstetricians and subspecialists.
- Call
- Night coverage at CPMC is supported by an in-house neonatal hospitalist team; Mills-Peninsula has 24/7 in-house hospitalist coverage.
- Patients
- Newborns and NICU infants; Mills-Peninsula has approximately 1,500 annual deliveries and cares for infants with respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding challenges and prematurity (≥34 weeks gestation).
- What the pay includes
- Guaranteed salary plus production based bonus, $6,000 annual CME allowance and relocation assistance.
- Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; active California medical license (or eligibility) by start date.
