Setting: Tertiary care children's center with a 40-bed general pediatric unit, 20-bed CVICU/PICU, Northern California's largest NICU, newborn nursery and Pediatric Emergency Department. EMR is EPIC.
The work: Inpatient care on acute care or Well-Baby Nursery teams (no delivery attendance), teaching residents and medical students, quality improvement, with opportunities for clinical leadership.
Schedule: Per diem; day and night shifts needed. Program runs 3 acute care teams and 2 Well-Baby Nursery teams daily with in-house nocturnist coverage.
Patients: Diverse, medically complex, high-acuity pediatric inpatients and well newborns.
Requirements: Board-certified/eligible in General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Hospital Medicine with strong inpatient experience.
