- Setting
- Alta Bates Hospital, part of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center; high-risk obstetrics referral center with 24 LDRP rooms, 3 L&D ORs, 8 bed OB Triage, 14-bed Antepartum Unit, 55-bed Level III NICU and full EMR.
- The work
- Delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical and OB delivery assists, fetal monitoring and ED coverage for OB patients, working with an on-site midwife and local obstetricians.
- Schedule
- 12-15 shifts per month, mix of rounding and admitting. FTE can be flexible from .5-1.0.
- Call
- A back-up hospitalist is available; two hospitalists are in-house 24/7.
- Patients
- High-risk and community clinic obstetric patients; approximately 5,000 deliveries annually, with MFM co-management on the antepartum unit.
- What the pay includes
- Base compensation with income guarantee, rates to increase by 15% on Jan 1, 2027; incentives, signing bonus, relocation allowance and residency stipend for residents who commit to hire.
- Requirements
- Active and unrestricted CA license and current DEA license.
