Setting: California Pacific Medical Center, a 274-bed tertiary/quaternary hospital for the Sutter 20+ hospital network, plus 10 regional liver clinics in Northern California. EPIC EMR across clinic and hospital.
The work: Lead development of the living donor liver transplant program as Medical Director. Hepatologists are core faculty for Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowships and engage in clinical trials and research.
Schedule: Full-time.
Patients: Diverse general and transplant hepatology population. CPMC performed 96 cadaveric donor liver transplants in 2025; specialty areas include alcohol associated liver disease, portal hypertension, MASLD, liver cancer and transplant oncology.
What the pay includes: $6,000 annual CME allowance, relocation assistance, and an 8% employer-funded profit-sharing contribution up to IRS maximums.
Requirements: BC/BE in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology; active or eligible for a California Medical License. 3-5 years of experience with living donor liver transplant preferred.
