Setting
CPMC, Sutter Health's flagship tertiary hospital in San Francisco, with Sutter West Bay Medical Group (nearly 500 clinicians). Closed ICU; EPIC EMR across clinic and hospital.
The work
Oversee overnight care for medically complex inpatients, working with a transplant group, consult services, radiology and inpatient pharmacy. No ICU rounding.
Schedule
1.0 FTE is 10 shifts/per month, generally 5 days on, 10 days off. Weekday shifts 12 hours (8pm-8am); weekend shifts 14 hours (6pm-8am).
Call
eHospitalist provides cross coverage from 6pm-2am.
Patients
Transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology and general internal medicine patients, including liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure and end-organ disease.
What the pay includes
8% employer-funded profit-sharing retirement contribution up to IRS maximums, $6,000 annual CME allowance and relocation assistance.
Requirements
BC/BE in Internal Medicine and an active, unrestricted CA medical license. Tertiary care experience highly preferred.
