Part-time comprehensive ophthalmologist position with Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, working in Palo Alto and San Carlos, CA. The role takes over an existing part-time practice with an internal referral network and potential to grow to 1.00 FTE.
- Setting
- Multi-specialty medical group of over 2,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians; two medical centers with full ancillary services and onsite ambulatory surgery centers.
- The work
- Medical or medical/surgical comprehensive ophthalmology in a clinic alongside cornea, pediatric, plastics, uveitis, retina, neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma specialists, taking over an existing part-time practice.
- Schedule
- Part-time .75 FTE, an average of 26.5 patient contact hours per week, with potential to increase to 1.00 FTE.
- Call
- Call shared with all department physicians, primarily covering established patients and onsite urgent care centers.
- What the pay includes
- Guaranteed salary for the first two years; shareholder-eligible after two years with production-based income; relocation allowance.
- Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology, comprehensive-trained; CA medical license. Fellowship-trained applicants welcome.
