- Exclusively manage patients in labor, oversee routine and complex deliveries, respond to emergencies, and triage, evaluate and supervise care. Not expected to cover Gyn ED call.
- Schedule
- 12-hour in-house shifts (7p-7a); full time is 13 shifts/month. Part time and PRN shifts available.
- Call
- No call; laborists do not cover Gyn ED call.
- Patients
- Normal and high-risk pregnancies; 70-90 deliveries per month, about 1,200 annually. Eight labor rooms, four antepartum rooms, 15-20 postpartum rooms.
- What the pay includes
- CME expense allowance.
- Requirements
- Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; able to manage routine and high-risk deliveries.
