Full-time outpatient Pediatric Obesity Medicine Physician and Program Director with Pediatric Weight and Wellness at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida. The role combines clinical care with leading growth of a multidisciplinary weight management program, including GLP-1 and anti-obesity medication services.
- Setting
- Outpatient center near the AdventHealth for Children campus, a quaternary children's hospital with more than 250 pediatric specialists across more than 35 specialties.
- The work
- Evaluate and manage pediatric obesity, build treatment plans, lead anti-obesity medication services, lead the multidisciplinary team, partner with the bariatric surgery program and community referrers; research as available.
- Schedule
- Full-time outpatient, including two hours per week dedicated to program directorship.
- Patients
- Children and adolescents ages 18 months through 17 years with obesity and associated conditions, including patients before and after adolescent metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Requirements
- MD or DO; Florida license or eligibility; ABOM board certification plus board certification in Pediatrics, Family Medicine or Med-Peds. Preferred: obesity medicine fellowship and five or more years of relevant experience.
