Outpatient psychiatry position with CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, working with CHRISTUS St. Michael hospital in Texarkana, Texas, joining an established practice ahead of a retirement. The posting emphasises RVU-based pay with a first-year income guarantee and no call.
- Setting
- Outpatient practice in a standalone building across from the CHRISTUS St. Michael campus, a 311-bed acute care hospital with a Level III ED. Practice has 2 MD psychiatrists and 1 NP; Epic EMR.
- The work
- Outpatient psychiatric care for your own patient panel. Sleep studies are referred to the hospital, and there is an option to expand clinical interests.
- Schedule
- Patients are seen Mon-Fri 8 to 5 PM.
- Call
- No call requirements for the practice or the hospital; an after-hours nurse triage line assists.
- Patients
- Mostly adults, with the option to treat younger patients. Common diagnoses include PTSD, ADHD, autism, bipolar, OCD, anxiety and eating disorders; no addiction patients.
- What the pay includes
- First-year income guarantee, then RVU-based compensation. Sign-on and relocation allowance.
- Requirements
- BC/BE in psychiatry, unrestricted Texas license at start and Texas-registered DEA. Residents graduating soon are encouraged to apply.
