- Call
- Call rotation expected 1:3, with potential for 1:2 for additional pay. Major trauma is stabilized in the ED and transferred to Corpus Christi.
- Patients
- Broad general surgery population; the hospital has the area's only inpatient dialysis program. Over 600 surgeries projected for FY25.
- What the pay includes
- Additional pay for taking 1:2 call.
- Requirements
- MD or DO with ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency; board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery; at least 5 years of experience; licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas. Must live within a 20–30 minute radius.
