Setting: Kaiser Permanente medical group of over 1,800 physicians across 60+ specialties; Largo Medical Center, a level II trauma center, and surrounding DC Metro sites. Uses a comprehensive EHR.
The work: Primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, clinic days with CNA and RN support, PA oversight in clinic, and collaboration with arthroplasty partners.
Schedule: Dedicated OR time 1-2 days per week plus clinic days.
Call: 1:13 trauma call schedule at a level II trauma center.
Patients: Kaiser Permanente patients needing primary and revision hip and knee surgery; clinic days of 20-30 patients.
What the pay includes: Starting annual salary of $575,000, not based on individual services. Pathway to become a shareholder of MAPMG. CME reimbursement and 100% reimbursement for board certification.
Requirements: MD or DO; board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery; Adult Reconstruction Fellowship; licensed or able to obtain licenses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
