High-volume, integrated multispecialty group practice in a capitated health system; two medical centers and associated hospitals in San Francisco and San Rafael. AI-based charting; no RVUs.
The work
Broad-based anatomic and clinical pathology. Frozen section coverage 1 day a week and EUS (rapid onsite coverage for endoscopists) 1 day a week. No autopsy.
Schedule
0.9 units. Typical schedule 8-5 pm. Mostly at San Francisco; 1 week approximately every 9 weeks at the San Rafael hospital.
Call
Night call once a week every 9 weeks.
Patients
Surgicals ~44,000 cases/year (GI, GYN, GU, breast, derm, head and neck biopsies; breast, colon, GYN, thyroid, GU bigs). Cytology ~4,000/year including FNA and non-gyn; GYN dual stain ~3,800/year.
What the pay includes
Relocation assistance up to $10,000 (approval required). Interest free home loan program up to $250,000 (approval required).
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in AP/CP. Fellowship in GU pathology or dermatopathology preferred. Experience preferred; candidates fresh out of fellowship considered.
