Setting
Hospital/enterprise-employed multi-subspecialty pathology group of 14 pathologists, working with the Roger Maris Cancer Center and Edith Sanford Breast Center. Grossing, histology and cytology labs on-site.
The work
Sign out primarily or solely in cytopathology or breast subspecialty area. PAs and grossing staff do all gross dissections, including frozen sections. No autopsies; research and teaching available but not required.
Schedule
1.0 FTE. Workload shared equally; minimal to no travel required.
Call
Infrequent call, 5-6 weeks/year, described as light; a pathology technician is on call 24/7/365, including cutting frozen sections.
Patients
Wide variety of complex and routine cases across organ systems, including rare cases.
What the pay includes
Guaranteed salary for first 2 years with upside after year 1, shared equally with no partner buy-in. CME allowance and relocation allowance.
Requirements
AP/CP board certified and cytopathology or breast subspecialty fellowship-trained; surgical pathology fellowship preferred but not required. H1B visa sponsorship, cap-exempt.
