Setting: Multi-specialty medical group with 400+ clinicians, more than ten care centers and four hospitals in the San Francisco East Bay Area.
The work: Palliative medicine consultations in home, SNF, RCFE, hospital and office settings; coordinate with team (NP, LCSW, RN, chaplain, care coordinator), hospices and referrers; quality improvement and educational outreach.
Schedule: Per diem.
Patients: Palliative care patients referred under clear criteria; no chronic pain management. Seen in palliative care, cancer center and embedded primary care clinics, plus home, SNF, RCFE and hospital.
What the pay includes: Guaranteed salary; shareholder-eligible after two years; relocation allowance; malpractice tail coverage.
Requirements: Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine; board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine; CA physician license or eligible.
Benefits named: 401(k), cash-balance retirement plan, health savings account, sabbaticals, schedule flexibility, PSLF eligibility. Benefits prorated to full-time status; per diem may be eligible for some.
